LINCOLN, NE – Sen. Bob Krist, candidate for Nebraska Governor, will take part in a Development Disabilities Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, November 9 starting at 6 p.m. at the NorthStar Services Offices 312 N. 7th, Norfolk.
NorthStar Services helps the developmentally and intellectually disabled become productive members of society. It serves 200 residents in a 22-county area in Northeast Nebraska, and employs approximately 500 people in Norfolk.
Recognized as a strong defender of the most vulnerable Nebraska citizens, Sen. Krist is the former president of the Madonna School in Omaha, whose mission is to serve students and adults with cognitive and developmental disabilities to become as independent as possible. He was named the Outstanding Citizen of the Year by the Nebraska Association of Behavioral Health Organizations in 2013.
