OMAHA, NE – Bob Krist, Nebraska State Senator and Democratic candidate for Governor, made the following statement today regarding the U.S./Russian relations.
“I’m concerned and saddened by this week’s developments in our relationship with our foreign adversary, Russia. The geopolitical stability of the world hangs in the balance.
As a 21-year military veteran, I proudly served four commanders-in-chief, Presidents Carter, Reagan, Clinton and Bush - Democrats and Republicans. While I didn’t always personally agree with policy decisions coming from Washington, we could always agree on who the enemy was and our overall mission to protect the American homeland and its people.
As governor of our great state, you can count on me to always hold our president accountable to that same standard.”
